Joanna + Chris’ wedding day was a beauty!
These two are just the sweetest. They may look shy and reserved, but they’re awesome and so was their springtime wedding (one of my favorite times of year as a wedding photographer)!
The Lakehouse…
is nestled on lakeside in Laureate Park. It is a hidden gem with so many great qualities. I especially love the little beach that isn’t really a beach. HA! Hey, I’ll travel wherever you want me, but there are a few quirks with a beach wedding that I was able to avoid this go ’round (happy to fill you in on those when we chat)! The views are gorgeous at the Lakehouse – I especially love that couples are able to host the ceremony and reception on site, with the indoor and outdoor option. It makes it easy for guests and it means less rushing around for my newlyweds too!

I’m pretty sure that Joanna crowd surfing during the reception was one of the most epic moments I’ve seen at a reception! I mean, the party was already fun, but that took it to another level! Hey, If you’re gonna let loose, why not let it be at your wedding. It’s THE party of the year, right?!
